In literature I am reading, Out of the Dust. It is about a girl named Billie Joe living in the dust bowl. Her life is not going to well bacause there is dust everywhere and she gets burned. Billie Joe gets burned by picking up fire and throwing it out the door, except she hits her mom. Her mother gets burned badly and she is expecting a baby. Her mother died giving birth and billy Joe's baby brother, Franklin, also dies. Now Billie Joe's life has completly changed.

Why I think that the New York Giants Should Win
I think that the New York Giants should win because they are exelent, hard working, and would make history. the New York Giants should win because first off, they are exelent. This is because they won the AFC disition. They also beat many other great teans such as Greenbay. Next, the NYG are very hard working because they won all the playoff game so far and more season games. Lastly, the NYG would make history because the only team to have a perefect season was Dolphins ' 72. When the New York Gians WIN they would be exelent, hard workers, and will have made history.

Growds in the Amazon, yellow and is a friut. Can you guess what all these things have in common? They are all discribing bananas. Bananas are not everyone's favorite fruit, but they are nutricus for you. Bananas are healthy, makes an easy snack, and did you know that they can dance?
Bananas are healthy because doctors recommond bananas to patients with low potassium. Bananas have trace amounts of iron and zinc. One banana has 140 calories, 2 grams of protein, and 4 grams of fiber. Banans also have Vitamin A and Vitamin B. There are many other great things in bananas that will help you.
Bananas are healthy which can make an easy snack . You can just pull them off of a bunch of bananas. Bananas can be cut up and put into a Sundae. Ants on a log is when you cut a banana in half , put peanut butter on and raisens on top. Bananas can make a very good and easy snack.
I pet you know that bananas can make an easy snack and are healthy, but they can also dance. I you watch the video, you notice that bananas can dance and scary cats like crazy!
It is easy to see that bananas are healthy, make an easy snack and can dance while scaring cats. If you buy a banana, they will interest you very much. Bananas are very ffun to have around.

Washington D.C. is a very fun place to be. There are many things that you can do in Washington D.C. that will keep you busy. Other than the White House, and Arlington Cemetery, Washington D.C. would be fun to go to because you can take a tour of the Museuse of Natural History, visit the Jefferson Monument, and take a short drive to visit Mt. Vernon.
The Museum of Natural history is a very interesting place to visit because they have the Hope Diamond, many dionasor bones, live butterflies, and pictures from National Geograghic. The westen culture exipit is filled with articacts from pharaors to kings and many paintings. It is a good place for the whole family because the kids would like the live butterflies, the adults would like the Hope diamond ,and different cultures artifacts. The museum is a great place to visit and you don't want to miss it.
Besides the Museum of Natural History, you can also go to the Jefferson Monument. The Jefferson Monument is a great place to visit because Jefferson himself looks strait at the White House. Also, did you know that the dome can fit the Statue of Liberty inside? There is a ton of history that you can learn inside to entertain the whole family.
Beside going into downtown Washington, D.C., you could travel to Mt. Vernon which is where George Washington lived. At Mt. Vernon, you can see a short movie on George Washington's life, visit his house, see his grave site (the new one and older one), where the slaves were buried, the farm animals, and all of his extra buildings. There are many fun thing to do for the whole family. For the kids there is a creative playing place, and for the adults (who love history) there is the house and history centers with all of George's history that took place in his life.
There are many fun things to do in Washington, D.C such as visiting the museum of Natral History, the Jefferson Monument, and Mt. Vernon outside of downtown Washington, D.C. These palce are just some of the paces that you can visit. Even though thousands visit the White house and Arlington cemertrey, you should also go to visit the other landmarks that surround them. I would very much recomond anybody going to visit Washington D.C.

critic coming into Mellon under cover and making bad remarks about the food and cleanliness area
DUE: MONDAY 28th,2008
Billy Bob Joe, a subatute who works for UCLA (Under Cover Lunch Assocation) went to Mt lebanon's Mellon Middle School's cafeteria on April 26, 1995 to judge the lunch and cleanliness of the area. Mellon Middle Schools ladies serve lunch 3 times a day to the 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. He discovered that the lunch room was discusting because the tables were not washed very well, the food was not cooked throughly, and the lines become very long while the student are waiting.
After the 6th grade lunch, he looked at the tables and under them also. The top was wiped down, but not very good. The benches colledted most of the crumbs and was sticky if a drink spilled. He interview a 7th grader, Catherine Sulecki who said, "The tables are not cleaned at all and the benches have to be wiped off to be free of crumbs. I hate having lunch right after the messy 6th graders."
During the 7th grade lunch, Billy Bob bought some chicken nuggets and a cheese sandwich. The sandwich was pink inside and the chicken nuggets bounced. He asked another 7th grader, Dan Smith if the sandwich was always pink and if the chicken always bounces. "Yes always." he said.
During the 8th grade lunch, the lines be can become incredable lenghts. Thre are 3 lines that you can go to and all of them were very long. Billy Bob was in one of the hot lunch lines and it took him 17 minutes. He only had 13 minutes to eat. The lunch ladies say " We try to move the lines fast," but a student, Sarah Dell says, " They don't care if we don't have a lot of time to eat."
When Billy Bob Joe took his trip to Mellon Middle School, he dicsovered that things were not going too well. The tables are not washed very well, the food was not cooked throughly and lines take at least 17 minutes to get your lunch. If he were to rate the lunch room inclueding the lunch, it would be a 4 out of 10.
